Boccadasse, a characteristic fishing hamlet.

From the esplanade above, a creuza (traditional Ligurian mule track) leads down to the hamlet's small beach, from which you can reach the cape of Santa Chiara, offering lovely views of the Riviera all the way to the promontory of Portofino. The hamlet makes for a perfect postcard: with its colourful houses, beautiful little beach and fishing boats pulled up onto the shore, it is the epitome of a classic fishing village that has miraculously escaped the passage of the time. Today Boccadasse is popular for its ice-cream parlours and characteristic restaurants that serve seafood specialities.
