Dear ML readers,

I would like to start my Antique Blog talking about Piedmont, a northern Italian region and more precisely about “Citta’ Antiquaria “,

a big Antique Center located in Cuneo Province.

Città Antiquaria, is a big commercial exhibition center also know as the CRAF (Centro Raccoglitori Antichità Fossano).

It covers an area of about thirty thousands square meters and hosts a long gallery with 112 stands (each misuring about 100 m).

It brings together Europe's largest selection of dealers vho can offer you the widest possible range of antique furniture  and vintage collectables.

Città Antiquaria is situated in the Fossano area, in the hamlet of Madonna di Loreto: the large building is clearly visible from the Torino-Savona (A6) motorway near Fossano toll.

It takes about 35 minutes on the motorway to reach Città Antiquaria from the center of Turin; half an hour on the state highway from Cuneo, an hour from Savona (A6), 40 minutes from Alba and about 2 hours from Milan.

There are two airports in Piedmont; 'Caselle' (Turin), which is an hour from the CRAF, and 'Levaldigi' (Cuneo) which is just 20 minutes away (both times consider travel by car).

From Milan's airports (Malpensa and Linate) it take about 2 hours to reach Fossano; from Genoa airport (Cristoforo Colombo) it take about an hour and a half. Lastly, from the Cote d'Azur Airport in Nice (France), it takes about 2 and a half hours.

Once you reach the motorway toll at Fossano, follow the signes for Salmour: you will be at Città Antiquaria in about 5 minutes.

In Fossano everything is linked to the Acaja castle. The majestic building, built in the XIV century, stands on the land and has been witness to the power of the princes of Acaja and later the Savoy, who lived there for centuries.

Palio dei Borghi also has links to the Castle, the vistor experiences an evocation of emotions and facts that really occurred in its history.

The city hosted the wedding of Carlo Emanuele I of Spain and Princess Catherine of Austria.
